After a loan stint with Union Berlin, Brenden Aaronson is set to return to Leeds United.
According to Tom Bogert of The Athletic, Aaronson will not be sold as he wants to help Leeds return to the English Premier League. The club suffered a defeat in the EFL Championship Playoff Final that destined Leeds to stay in the Championship.
During the 2023-24 season, Aaronson appeared in 38 matches for the Berlin club that finished 15th to starve off relegation. The United States Men’s National Team midfielder scored two goals and two assists in the Bundesliga.
After struggling to get minutes in Germany, Aaronson will be hoping that he can get consistent minutes — ideally starts — with Leeds.
