Trinidad and Tobago International Joins Portland Hearts of Pine
The Hearts roster expands to 21 players prior to start of inaugural season
Ahead of its first-ever clash, Portland Hearts of Pine has added another dynamic attacker to its roster. The club signed Trinidad and Tobago international Nathaniel James to their roster.
James first gained national attention during the 2022 Concacaf Under-20 Championship, where he scored four goals and three assists, helping Trinidad and Tobago reach the round of 16. He made his senior international debut in a friendly against Jamaica in March 2023 and he has gone on to earn nine appearances and score three goals.
While primarily featuring as an attacking midfielder, James also has shown the ability to play on the left wing or as a second striker. His flexibility will be an asset as Portland prepares for its first-ever match on Thursday March 20 in the U.S. Open Cup.
