Two more Creighton players have been added to the roster
The partnership between Vermont Green FC and Creighton University continues to grow.
On Monday, The Green announced that English striker Alfie Pope has joined their roster ahead of the 2023 USL League Two season per league and federation approval.
The Graduate Student played his first season for the Bluejays in 2022 and tallied four goals and an assist in 15 games. Pope started 18 matches for the University of Mount Olive Trojans in 2021, playing 1,428 minutes and scoring 14 goals.
Pope will be joined by his teammate Nathan Schnur. The goalkeeper made six starts for Vermont in 2022 and led the team in saves (21) and also had a .778 save percentage, and 1.00 goals against average.
Back with Creighton, Schnur played in three games and boasted a 1.20 goals against average. With Nathan Silveira joining MLS NEXT Pro’s Crown Legacy FC, Schnur will be competing for the starting goalkeeper with MLS SuperDraft Selection Nick Christoffersen returning to The Green for 2023.
