Source: Petrovic Drawing Plenty of Interest, No Formal Offers Yet
Djordje Petrovic has drawn interest from clubs in England, Germany, Spain, and France.
New England Revolution goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic has drawn interest from clubs in England, Germany, Spain, and France but there haven’t been any formal offers yet, according to a source that spoke to The Blazing Musket.
On Sunday, MLS Insider Tom Bogert reported that Manchester United has been “heavily scouting” Petrovic.
Petrovic, 23, has been a star since joining the Revolution in April 2022. In his first half-season with the Revs, the netminder collected seven clean sheets in 21 appearances. He was the Revolution’s team MVP and a finalist for the league’s Goalkeeper of the Year award.
In Oct. 2022, Petrovic inked a new contract through the 2025 MLS season with an option for 2026.
Petrovic has shown no signs of slowing down in his second year in MLS. He collected his second cap with the Serbian National Team in Jan. and looked as sharp as ever during Revs preseason.
Petrovic and the Revs kickoff the 2023 MLS season on Saturday when they travel to face Charlotte FC.
