Rhode Island FC has released its schedule for 2026, a much more balanced schedule compared to prior years.
Rhode Island kicks off the season by welcoming Loudoun United to Centreville Bank Stadium on March 7 and then faces newcomers Sporting Jax at home on March 14.
Compared to prior years, there aren’t as many lengthy road trips, especially to start the season. RIFC’s first road game is against Louisville City on March 21.
As constructed currently, Rhode Island won’t play more than two straight games on the road. The most notable road game might be the season finale as RIFC plays Hartford Athletic in Connecticut to end the campaign. Rhode Island also plays against Hartford on the road on April 25 in the Jagermeister Prinx Tires USL Cup before welcoming Hartford to Centreville Bank Stadium on July 18.
Additionally, fans of New England soccer will notice that RIFC heads to Maine to play Portland Hearts of Pine in the USL Cup on May 16. Rhode Island is in Group 5 alongside regional rival Hartford Athletic, USL Championship expansion club Brooklyn FC, Westchester SC, USL League One expansion club New York Cosmos, as well as Portland.
