Philadelphia Union II:
2023 has been a rough go for head coach Marlon LeBlanc and Union II. Union II opened their 2023 campaign at home on March 26th, where they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Orlando City B. April 2nd saw Philadelphia host Inter Miami II, where they suffered a 2-1 defeat.
Philadelphia will look to right the ship on Monday after conceding five goals in their opening two contests.
Revolution II’s fourth campaign has gotten off to a hot start! Revs II enter Monday’s contest undefeated in their first two contests with a +2 goal differential. They secured all three points in their home opener last Sunday against NYCFC II thanks to newcomer Jordan Adebayo-Smith’s first goal with the club and a game-winning goal by first-teamer Esmir Bajraktareviċ in the closing minutes of the game.
Monday’s contest will be the fourth meeting between New England and Philadelphia. Philly holds a slight edge as Revs II is 1-2-0 against Union II. Their first meeting came on May 27th, 2022, when Meny Silva’s lone goal gave Revs II a 1-0 victory! Philadelphia picked up dominant victories in the other two contests with a 5-1 win on August 21st and a 3-1 victory in the regular season finale that saw Philadelphia secure their spot in the 2022 MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs.
Do you guys have anyone that goes to the Revs II matches? I'm going tomorrow for the first time and would love to thank someone for all the great work you do here!
