Report: Revs Tap Tab Ramos as Assistant Coach
Ramos joins the Revs for the remainder of the 2023 season after a tough stint with Hartford Athletic.
After a series of coaching changes in the wake of the Bruce Arena investigation, a new name will join the New England Revolution sideline.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Carlisle, Tab Ramos has joined the Revolution for the remainder of the 2023 MLS season to assist current interim Head Coach Clint Peay.
Ramos’ most recent coaching gig came 100 miles southeast as he served as USL Championship side Hartford Athletic’s Head Coach from September 2022 until July 2023. Ramos’ stint in Hartford was rocky, as he only amassed a 5-13-4 record.
Before joining Hartford, Tab Ramos had tenures on various levels of the United States youth international squads and senior level.
According to Carlisle, Ramos will provide Peay with “an additional layer of MLS knowledge.” Ramos' MLS experience came from October 2019 to November 2021, where he led the Houston Dynamo to a 10-26-21 record and failed to make it to the playoffs.
The New England Revolution will look to get back into the win column on Saturday, September 23rd, as they travel to Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois to take on the Chicago Fire at 8:30 PM ET on MLS Season Pass.
What am I missing? His win/loss record is not giving me a lot of hope.
Good move - this fills an obvious need for some MLS experience on the staff.
