Report: Brandon Bye Signing With Portland Timbers
Tom Bogert reports the right back is headed out west
According to Tom Bogert, Brandon Bye will be signing with the Portland Timbers.
Bye entered the offseason as a free agent and will reunite with former Revolution assistant coach Dave Van Den Bergh in Portland. The right back posted a goodbye to Revs fans prior to Bogert breaking the news.
Bye has spent his entire eight-year career in New England prior to the move. He made 192 league appearances, including 161 starts, with 10 goals and 18 assists since being drafted eighth overall in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft.
With Bye’s departure, after Ilay Feingold the right back depth chart is quite thin. Andrew Farrell and even Matt Polster can play the position in a pinch and youngster Damario McIntosh could be in line for a bench role in 2026.
