Noel Buck Scores In First Start For England U-19s
The Revs Homegrown made his England U-19 debut this week.
Noel Buck had quite the week.
The 18-year-old made his debut for the England under-19s on September 6, contributing 24 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Germany.
According to the match report, Buck “would have scored with an excellent header had it not been for a good save by the goalkeeper.”
Three days later, the Arlington, MA native made his first start for the Young Lions, playing 70 minutes in a 4-2 win over Switzerland.
Here’s how Buck’s game-winning goal was described on the England Football Association’s website: Buck “played a one-two in midfield before evading a challenge and rifling a shot from outside the box into the bottom corner.”
Buck wore the number 16 in the first game and the number 8 in the second game.
The midfielder will now return to the New England Revolution to help his hometown team during the final stretch of the season.
Buck has 19 MLS appearances (15 starts) in 2023. He’s collected two goals and one assist in 1350 minutes.
