Niklas Herceg Returns to Vermont Green FC
The Vermont Catamount is staying in the Green Mountain state
After being drafted by FC Dallas in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft, Niklas Herceg will be staying in Vermont for the summer and the next NCAA season.
According to Jack Maine, on top of returning to the University of Vermont, the goalkeeper will be playing for Vermont Green FC in the 2026 U.S. Open Cup and the 2026 USL League Two season.
Herceg was named 2025 American East goalkeeper of the year. The goalkeeper appeared in 20 games and recorded 10 clean sheets and a 0.74 goals against average.
Herceg was drafted 16th overall in the SuperDraft by FC Dallas. With Martin Paes having a hold on the starting position, the goalkeeper will get to continue his education and his development in Vermont.
