The New England Revolution faced off against LAFC and MLS newcomer Heung Min Son and the Revs returned to their losing ways, suffering a 2-0 loss.

Head coach Caleb Porter had his side remain in a 4-2-3-1 as Matt Turner started in net behind the backline of Peyton Miller, Mamadou Fofana, Brayan Ceballos, and Ilay Feingold. Matt Polster and Alhassan Yusuf served as defensive midfielders while Carles Gil was in his usual No. 10 role. Tomas Chancalay and Luca Langoni were on the wings while Leo Campana was the lone striker up top.

For LAFC, Heung Min Son made his first MLS start alongside Denis Bouanga up top. Fellow former Tottenham Hotspur Hugo Lloris started in net for LAFC.

But what do you need to know about the match? Here are three thoughts.
