Morris Duggan Join Rhode Island FC on Loan From Minnesota United
Rhode Island adds some depth to their back line as they continue prep to face rival Hartford.
Just before hosting Hartford Athletic for their first ever home derby, Rhode Island FC announced Morris Dugan as the second loan acquisition of their inaugural season.
Duggan was drafted in the third round of the 2024 MLS SuperDraft by Minnesota United FC, and made his professional debut for MLS NEXT Pro side Minnesota 2 on March 17.
The German defenseman made his MLS regular season debut on June 8, entering the match as substitute in Minnesota’s 1-1 draw against FC Dallas. Duggan most recently appeared for the Loons on July 30 playing the entire match in Minnesota’s victory over Liga MX side Club Necaxa in Leagues Cup.
Duggan has played a total of 984 minutes across twelve appearances so far in his career, 181 minutes coming in two U.S. Open Cup matches, 48 minutes spanning two MLS regular season appearances, and 135 minutes coming from two Leagues Cup matches.
Duggan will be available for selection as Rhode Island welcomes rival Hartford to Beirne Stadium on Saturday night.
