MLS SuperDraft Selection Returning to Vermont Green FC
The Green have their goalkeeper
Vermont Green FC appear to have their starting goalkeeper for the 2023 USL League Two season.
After being drafted by CF Montreal in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft, Nick Christoffersen will be returning to Vermont for his second season with the club. In 2022, the goalkeeper failed to make an appearance for the USL League Two side.
On the collegiate level, The University of Pennsylvania keeper helped the Quakers win their first Ivy League title since 2013 and led the league with a 0.73 GAA in 2022.
Christoffersen will be filling some big shoes when he steps between the posts. Nathan Silveira was the main man for the Green in their debut season making eight starts while having a .714 save percentage and a 1.00 goals against average.
Silveira will be spending 2023 with Crown Legacy FC, the second team for Charlotte FC that participates in MLS Next Pro.
Christoffersen is a product of the Toronto FC academy.
