Ignatius Ganago Wants to Stay in New England
“The only thing I can say is yeah, I want to stay. The rest, you guys will know later, but yeah, I want to stay, for sure. I like the league. I like the club.”
While Ignatius Ganago’s future with the New England Revolution is up in the air, the forward wants to stay with the club.
“The only thing I can say is yeah, I want to stay,” Ganago told The Blazing Musket. The rest, you guys will know later, but yeah, I want to stay, for sure. I like the league. I like the club.”
Ganago played 20 games this season and recorded three goals and three assists in just under 1,600 minutes played. For a player who would likely become a designated player if his purchase option was picked up, that output is unacceptable.
Nantes, Ganago’s home club, is currently sitting in 15th place and just outside of the relegation spots in France’s Ligue 1. With the forward having a steep purchase option, it would make sense for him to return to France.
Additionally, if Ganago was to return to Nantes, it would give the Revs some roster flexibility which is much needed with the arrival of a new head coach before the 2026 MLS season.
With exit meetings taking place this week, it won’t be long until Revolution fans find out the fate of Ganago and the rest of the roster.
Nice enough guy but not worth the price.
He was a bust not worth keeping.
