“Henry Kessler is going to miss four months. He’s going to have surgery tomorrow. But for the most part, we’re getting a little healthier,” said Arena.
Kessler was pulled at halftime of the Revolution’s match against CF Montreal two weeks ago. After being listed as Questionable for last week’s game against Columbus, Kessler was downgraded to being listed as Out for the first time this week with a right leg injury.
Arena’s comments came after was asked about Gustavo Bou’s status and some of the other injuries affecting the team. Arena was more positive on Bou, stating he’s making progress and his injury is short-term, but it’s unclear if he will play this weekend against Sporting Kansas City.
While Arena’s outlook on Bou and others were positive, he also told media there is no timeline for Nacho Gil’s return. “He’ll be back very soon. Until he gets back here, we don’t know exactly what his timeline is going to be.,” said Arena. The Blazing Musket reported yesterday Nacho Gil is currently in Spain.
