Former Revolution II midfielder Michel Costa finds a new home

The 21-year-old midfielder heads to Portugal to continue his soccer journey.

Former New England Revolution II midfielder Michel Costa da Silva has found a new home as he inked a deal on Tuesday with Portuguese Primeira Liga side G.D. Estoril Praia’s Under-23 squad.

On December 9th, the Revolution II released their year-end roster update and that's when we learned Michel had become a free agent after his contract with Revs II expired following the 2022 MLS NEXT Pro season. 

The 21-year-old Brazilian midfielder joined Revolution II ahead of the 2021 USL League One season from the Under-20 team of Brazilian giants, Botafogo. 

Through two seasons in New England, Michel notched two goals and four assists over 45 appearances, where he clocked 3,422 minutes.
