Former Revolution Defender Omar Gonzalez Reportedly Joining FC Dallas

According to The Athletic’s Tom Bogert, veteran defender Omar Gonzalez will be signing with FC Dallas.

According to The Athletic’s Tom Bogert, veteran defender Omar Gonzalez will be signing with FC Dallas.

In two seasons, Gonzalez played in 37 total matches for New England. The veteran defender scored one goal in a stint that was filled with ups and downs.

Gonzalez was thrust into the starting XI due to injuries in the 2022 season and made his fair share of mistakes but come 2023 he become a reliable option off the bench and ended up making 15 appearances (nine starts).

Now reportedly headed to Dallas, the center back will get to play for his hometown club. He will bring a wealth of experience and championship pedigree as he hopes to finish out his career on a high note.
