Esmir Bajraktarevic “Has The Quality To Play [In Europe]”

Esmir Bajraktarevic has the quality to play in Europe, according to new teammate Alhassan Yusuf.

Bajraktarevic scored his third goal of the season on Wednesday in a 2-2 draw with CF Montreal. The strike, which came from just outside the box, occurred in his second game back from international duty with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

While away from the New England Revolution, the 19-year-old played 22 minutes against the Netherlands and 23 minutes against Hungary. He had an assist in the game against the Oranje.

Yusuf, who played in the UEFA Champions League, was asked if Bajraktarevic could play in Europe one day.

“Fantastic player,” Yusuf said. “He has the quality to play there. I think sooner or later, he’ll be there for sure.”

For now, Bajraktarevic is with the Revs as they look to make a late push for the playoffs. Their next game is Saturday when they travel to face Charlotte FC.
