Celtic, Leeds United, and Aston Villa Among Teams Eying Allan Oyirwoth
The 18-year-old continues to draw interest from European clubs.
18-year-old Allan Oyirworth continues to draw European interest, according to sources who spoke to The Blazing Musket.
Clubs have been tracking the New England Revolution midfielder since the summer. In September, The Blazing Musket reported that Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, and Celtic were among those eying Oyirworth.
While these teams continue to monitor him, more have entered the fold, including Leeds United, Southampton, Aston Villa, Norwich City, and Swansea City.
Oyirwoth, who was 16 when he debuted for the Uganda National Team in 2023, is considered a high-upside player. An early acquisition positions a club to aid in his development before benefiting from a strong future resale.
Oyirwoth joined the Revolution ahead of the 2025 season. He began the year with the second team, collecting an 88% pass completion and scoring a one-time, left-footed goal from just outside the box on April 26.
After two 90-minute appearances in the U.S. Open Cup, Oyirwoth made his MLS league debut on August 9, coming off the bench against the Chicago Fire. He played 287 minutes over five games (four starts) before the end of the season.
Oyirwoth has earned praise from Revolution coaches and players. Former head coach Caleb Porter complimented his ability to stay calm and perform well “technically, tactically, physically.”
Matt Polster noted, “He’s very talented on the ball, and he has a good head on his shoulders. He really wants to compete and show that he can play at this level. And he always has a smile on his face, which makes me smile.”
Oyirwoth’s current contract with the Revolution runs through the 2028 season, with an option for 2029.
