Antonee Robinson Named 2024 U.S. Male Player of the Year
2024 will be a year to remember for the left back
Antonee Robinson has been named U.S. Soccer’s 2024 Male Player of the Year.
Robinson was stellar for club and country last year. The left back started all 11 matches he was available in 2024, including all four of the USMNT’s shutouts in 2024. The left back also recorded the game-winning assist against Jamaica in the Concacaf Nations League Quarterfinals.
Robinson also finished this year with 10 assists across 37 games played for Fulham. He’s already tallied seven assists in 19 matches during the current season which is tied for third among Premier League players.
“It’s an incredible honor,” said Robinson. “Representing our country isn’t something you do for individual accolades. It’s always about putting the team first and trying to do my best for the boys and for the country, so to be rewarded for that is an amazing feeling.”
Robinson is the first defender since Oguchi Onyewu in 2006 to be named Male Player of the Year for the U.S.
Thoroughly deserved.
