96% of Season Ticket Deposits Sold
“Our primary focus is selling out every game for 2025."
Portland Hearts of Pine have sold the most season ticket deposits in the history of USL League One. In addition, the Hearts have now moved into fourth in the entire USL behind Nashville (2018), Cincinnati (2016), and Sacramento (2014) in season ticket deposits.
Less than 200 season ticket deposits remain to reserve a seat at what will be a sold-out Fitzpatrick Stadium. Supporters section season tickets cost $207 which is both affordable and a nice marketing touch by the club - a nod to Maine’s 207 area code.
We recently caught up with Hearts of Pine President and Chief Business Officer Kevin Schohl for a question and answer session.
TBM: As you announced last week, Hearts of Pine has broken the USL League One record for season ticket deposits. Approximately how many season tickets deposits remain available?
KS: We have fewer than 200 deposits available for sale (~96 percent of our way to goal), so we expect to hit the 4,500 milestone very soon. When we hit 4,500 we will switch into building up a waitlist.
TBM: The club has begun the ticketing process with deposit holders for 2025 Hearts of Pine season tickets. How’s the early ticketing process going thus far?
KS: We have only had a test wave of Supporters seats at a small event. The real waves of seat selection begin on Monday (9/23) and will continue over the next ~8 weeks. So far, so good! We've had great reaction to the $207 pricing for supporters and for overall affordability. Some people wish we had more premium options, but we are a bit limited today in what we can do at Fitzpatrick. Our primary focus is selling out every game for 2025 (which would be ~5,500 tickets per game, which is the stadium capacity), and then we can turn our attention to providing additional experiences and amenities.
TBM: Is there any additional advice, other than the email that they received from their ticketing agent, to pass on to season ticket deposit holders that can help in the transaction?
KS: The experience of choosing seats online should be relatively straightforward, and fans can go online to pick their seats from a seat map and check out themselves, once it is their week to choose. Only caveat is making sure to enter the promo code attached to their account in order to get the credit for the deposits already paid. But we have staff ready to help at any time - anyone who has questions I would suggest the easiest way to get set up is to book time with their ticket rep once their weekly wave is approaching and the scheduling link gets sent to them.”
