The New England Revolution faced off against Charlotte FC on Saturday evening and the Revs suffered a 1-0 loss.
Head coach Marko Mitrovic utilized a new look starting XI due to injuries and suspensions. Matt Turner was in net for what could be his final match with the Revs with his loan expiring. The backline was made up of Will Sands, Mamadou Fofana, Ethan Kohler and Brayan Ceballos at right back.
With Brooklyn Raines suspended, Alhassan Yusuf and Matt Polster were in the midfield while Carles Gil played in his usual No. 10 role. On the wings, Diego Fagundez earned his first MLS start since returning to New England and on the opposite side was Peyton Miller. Dor Turgeman was the lone striker up top.
Notably Luca Langoni was completely left out of the matchday squad.
But what do you need to know about the match? Here are three thoughts.
