Monday saw Major League Soccer fans gain a better insight into how the playoffs will work in 2026, as the league released the MLS Cup Playoff schedule.

Following Decision Day on November 7, the top nine teams from the Eastern and Western Conferences will begin their quest for the 2026 MLS Cup title. Things get started on November 18 when the 8th and 9th seeds in each conference face off, the higher seed hosting, in a single-game elimination series that sees the winner advance to the first round.

Round One begins on November 20 as the remaining eight teams in each conference compete in a best-of-three series. Both teams will host at least one match in the series, with the higher-seeded team hosting the pivotal third match, if needed.

Following Round One’s finishes on December 2, the 5 and 6 see the Conference Semifinals take place. The remaining four teams in each conference face off in a single-elimination game, with the higher seed hosting. The two remaining teams in both conferences will battle to earn a spot in the MLS Cup Final on December 11 and 12.

The 2026 MLS season will culminate on December 18 when the two remaining clubs battle to hoist the Philip F. Anschutz Trophy and etch their name into the Major League Soccer history book. Hosting privileges will go to the team with the best regular-season record.

Like every regular-season game, MLS Cup Playoff matches will also stream on Apple TV, with a select few also broadcasting on FOX Sports in the United States and TSN and RDS in Canada.
