After not being retained by the New England Revolution, Gevork Diarbian is headed to the USL Championship.
Diarbian signed a deal with the Birmingham Legion. The club finished last in the Eastern Conference in 2025 and is coached by former Revolution head coach Jay Heaps.
“Gevork is direct, fearless, and brings real intensity on both sides of the ball,” Heaps said in a statement. “He competes on every play and is relentless in his effort to make the team better. That’s the type of player we want here.”
Diarbian joins Birmingham after spending the past two seasons with the New England Revolution II of MLS NEXT Pro. He scored 10 goals and six assists in 55 appearances.
Diarbian also competed in USL League Two for Vermont Green FC. He scored four goals and two assists in six appearances in the 2022 season. Diarbian is the second former Vermont Green FC player to play for the Legion after Diba Nwegbo signed with Birmingham in 2023.
