CT United FC’s preparations for 2026 continued on when the club announced the signing of Gunther Rankenburg.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper joins Connecticut after spending the last three seasons with USL League One side Greenville Triumph.
After finishing his collegiate career at Georgia State University, Rankenburg signed his first deal with Greenville on April 4th, 2023. Rankenburg’s time in Greenville saw him notch 16 clean sheets in 52 appearances across all competitions.
The Marietta, Georgia native becomes the second goalkeeper to sign with CT United FC, joining Anthony Ramos, and the 18th overall signing by CT United FC ahead of 2026’s inaugural season.
