Boston Legacy FC has appointed Edward Gallagher to its new technical director position.
The role includes overseeing the club’s sporting department and strengthening the team’s long-term vision by using analytics to expand its player development pathways and global recruitment strategy. The director will also connect youth soccer and future development programs with the first team as one integrated system.
Gallagher was among general manager Domènec Guasch’s first hires and served as the director of recruitment over the last year and a half. He has been key in building the club’s inaugural roster.
“I see this role as a real opportunity to help build something for the long term,” Gallagher said. “The chance to work across different areas of the Sporting Department is something I’m really excited about, particularly because we already have some excellent people in place. I’m looking forward to supporting them, helping connect the different areas of the Club and playing my part in what is a very ambitious future for Boston Legacy."
