Boston Legacy FC added yet another defender to its roster after signing Deja Davis.

The 31-year-old joined the team as a free agent and her contract will run through December 2028.

Davis hails from Montclair, New Jersey, but has spent her entire professional career in France.

“I think it's really exciting to be a part of something that's new,” said Davis. “My intention was to be here and be at the beginning of something, and help the team make a name in the NWSL. Also, for me, I'm discovering the NWSL. I've never played in the NWSL. I'm also pretty close to home, so it's my chance to have my family come to games.”

After playing four years at La Salle University, Davis signed with Le Havre AC in 2017. The team was in the third division when she joined, and over her seven seasons there she helped the team win promotion twice.

She then joined Paris FC in the summer of 2024 and made 65 appearances for the club. Over the two seasons in the top flight, she helped the team win the 2025 French Cup as well as advance to the league final. Davis also made several Champions League appearances this past season before the team lost in the knockout playoff round.

“Deja is a highly reliable center back,” said Legacy general manager Domè Guasch. “She’s lived the climb from the third division to the Champions League in France. That experience and that builder’s mentality are exactly what we need at the core. Someone who knows how to lay a foundation, brings real defensive stability, and makes everyone around her better.”
