At an event revealing their first-ever shirt sponsor, Rhode Island FC displayed their home kits to media on Monday.
Bill Bartholomew of WPRO tweeted the images of the expansion teamâs first home kit, complete with the Breeze Airways logo across the front.
The kit, which is named the âEnergy Jerseyâ, takes its design inspiration from the lightning bolt motif in RIFCâs branding. The kit will be revealed to the public tonight at 5 PM at a kit launch party at The Guild in Pawtucket. Guests can RSVP through the RIFC website for the event.
The sponsor, Breeze Airways, has signed a multi-year partnership with the expansion USL club and will be the clubâs exclusive airline partner, according to the team press release.
âAs big fans of both soccer and Rhode Island, we have been waiting with bated breath for todayâs reveal,â said Breeze Airways President Tom Doxey. âWeâre so proud of our new partnership with Rhode Island FC and seeing the Breeze logo on our very first sports jersey. As the USâ only Nice Low Cost Carrier, weâre so excited to go full Ted Lasso together! Tedâs favorite word is âBelieveâ and I believe this Seriously Nice partnership proves how dedicated Breeze is to becoming the hometown carrier of the Rhode Island community. We look forward to carrying soccer fans to and from the region and cheering on the team as they start their debut season this spring.â
Breeze Airways has established an operating base out of TF Green Airport, where this morningâs press conference was held. Breeze flies nonstop to 15 destinations from TF Green Airport, including the stateâs only nonstop flight to the west coast.
