Rhode Island FC’s leadership structure saw an unexpected change as the club announced that the club and club president David Peart had parted ways.
Peart’s tenure with RIFC began on May 31st, 2024, after stints across the NHL, NFL, MLB, and as General Manager of AT&T Sports Network/Space City Sports Network.
In a statement, RIFC Co-Founder and Chairman Brett Johnson thanked Peart for his service to the club. With David Peart’s departure, assistant general manager Sean Carey will serve as interim president while the club begins its search for a new Club President.
Rhode Island FC’s third season begins on March 7 when the club welcomes Loudoun United to Centreville Bank Stadium at 2:30 PM ET.
