Bono, now 31, joined the Revolution back on December 20, 2024. His lone season in New England saw Bono make two appearances during the Revolution’s U.S. Open Cup Run, which saw New England secure a 2-1 win over Rhode Island FC before suffering a 3-1 loss to Chicago in the Round of 16.
With Bono’s reported departure, expect 2025 MLS SuperDraft pick Donovan Parisian become the club’s second option at goalkeeper behind Matt Turner. Parisian spent the 2025 season with Revolution II, where he notched four clean sheets and 34 saves in 16 appearances.
Bono returns for his second stint with D.C. United. He spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons in the nation’s capital, where he notched 12 clean sheets in 47 appearances across all competitions.
