The New England Revolution are interested in acquiring center back Joshua Wynder on loan from Benfica, according to The Athletic's Tom Bogert.
The center back has made 37 appearances for Benfica’s B team and played one game with the senior team. He arrived in Portugal after his move from USL Championship club Louisville City in 2023.
Wynder was coached by Marko Mitrovic when the current Revolution head coach was with U.S. Soccer. The center back played for the U.S. U17s, U19s, and U20s. Mitrovic worked with Wynder while he was in the U20 setup.
Bogert notes that the loan would last until the summer of 2027 and no purchase option will be included in the deal.
