USMNT Announces Roster Ahead of September International Friendlies
Gregg Berhalter returns to the sideline for the first time since the 2022 World Cup.
The USMNT looks to bounce back following a premature exit from this summer’s Concacaf Gold Cup as they prepare for a set of international friendlies in September.
September’s slate of games marks the first since Gregg Berhalter was re-appointed to the USMNT head coaching position in June.
A familiar face joins the goalkeeping core as former Revs and current Nottingham Forest keeper Matt Turner will join his Nottingham teammate Ethan Horvath and Inter Miami’s Drake Calendar.
Sergino Dest, Kristoffer Lund, Mark McKenzie, Kevin Paredes, Tim Ream, Crystal Chris Richards, Antonee Robinson, Atlanta Miles Robinson, and Joe Scally form the defense. Lund and Paredes will look to make their first appearance for the U.S.
Johnny Cardoso, Benjamin Cremaschi, Luca de la Torre, Weston McKennie, Yunus Musah, and Malik Tillman comprise the midfield. Benjamin Cremaschi will look to make his first appearance for the United States.
Brendan Aaronson, Florian Balogun, Cade Cowell, Ricardo Pepi, Christian Pulisic, and Tim Weah comprise the attack.
The US will travel to CITYPark in St. Louis as they take on Uzbekistan on September 9th at 5:30 PM ET on TNT. They will then travel to Allianz Field in St. Paul to take on Oman on September 12th at 8:30 PM ET.
