Scenes from Tuesday's Revs Practice
An injury update and Bruce Arena answers a question about Adam Buksa.
On Tuesday, The Blazing Musket attended the New England Revolution’s training session. Below are some notes from our trip.
The Latest on Injuries
Gustavo Bou and Bobby Wood missed Saturday’s game against the Columbus Crew due to injuries. When asked for an update, head coach Bruce Arena stated, “I think they’ll be out on the field this week. Bobby was out today.” Arena then said that Wood wasn’t a full participant.
Bou and Kessler didn’t practice on Tuesday while DeJuan Jones was limited.
My colleague Sam Minton reported that Nacho Gil is currently in Spain on crutches due to a knee injury.
Arena Comments on Adam Buksa
Earlier this week, Apple TV’s Taylor Twellman said he “would be shocked if Buksa isn’t back in MLS this summer.” Twellman later added, “He almost came back this previous window and is exploring his MLS options as we speak.”
The Blazing Musket asked Arena if he would look into bringing Buksa back if the striker was to return to MLS. Arena said, “Yeah, we would definitely look into it, yeah.”

Ryan Spaulding Will Go On Loan
Spaulding will be loaned out to a USL team, according to sources.
The 24-year-old defender joined the Revs in Feb. 2022 after two seasons with the second team. Spaulding made seven league appearances for the Revolution in 2022, including three starts. He hasn’t appeared in a game this season.
This will be the second time the Revs have sent a player on loan as Ben Reveno is currently with Birmingham Legion FC.
