RIFC Sends Prince Saydee to Charleston Battery
“We thank Prince for his contributions to Rhode Island FC and wish him the best at his new club."
Rhode Island FC announced that it has reached an agreement with USL Championship side Charleston Battery for Prince Saydee, sending the midfielder to the Eastern Conference club, pending league and federation approval. RIFC will receive an undisclosed fee for the transfer.
“We thank Prince for his contributions to Rhode Island FC and wish him the best at his new club,” said RIFC Head Coach and General Manager Khano Smith.
Saydee made 11 appearances across all competitions for RIFC in 2024, recording 450 minutes and four starts. His last start came in the 2-0 loss to Detroit City FC where he was taken out after 45 minutes.
The move isn’t too surprising as Jojea Kwizera, Mark Doyle, Stephen Turnbull, and Noah Fuson seem to be the clear leaders out wide with Kwizera on a tear scoring a goal in his last two club matches.
