Report: Noel Buck Traded to San Jose Earthquakes
On the same night that DeJuan Jones heads out west, so does the Revs youngster.
Right after the conclusion of New England Revolution head coach Caleb Porter’s postgame press conference, Tom Bogert reported that Noel Buck had been traded to the San Jose Earthquakes.
The 20-year-old becomes the latest player who donned a Revolution jersey to reunite with Arena.
Buck was the eighth Homegrown signing in club history and went on to make 30 starts for the Revolution. His New England career ends with the youngster having scored five goals and two assists.
The midfielder earned the bulk of his minutes under Bruce Arena. After the arrival of Porter, Buck fell down the depth chart and ended up on loan with Southampton’s youth team in 2024.
Now he will look to regain his form under his former head coach and will make his return to New England on May 17 when the Earthquakes visit Gillette Stadium.
Sure, trade away a young, talented LOCALLY trained and admired player. Will Jack be next? Happy for Noel, sad for us. Porter has no idea of why you train LOCAL players to get fans excited to come see a match and grow your fan base. Idiot.
Porter Out. I absolutely hate this guy. Send away all our young talent; bring in old players who all have the same problems as the other players he cut.
