Report: Former Rev Tajon Buchanan Linked to Manchester City
Treble winners Manchester City reportedly looking to bolster the right flank.
Since joining Belgian side Club Brugge following the 2021 MLS season, rumors on a potential move for Tajon Buchanan have always popped up. The biggest being reports of a possible move to Italian giants Inter Milan, yet nothing ever came to fruition over the years.
As Europe prepares for another transfer window, another report on the potential future for former Rev and Canadian international has surfaced. According to Harry Pratt of the Daily Star, treble winners Manchester City reportedly want to sign the Canadian winger to strengthen the right side.
With a reported 18 months remaining on Buchanan’s contract, Man City will have to dig into their incredibly deep wallet to acquire him, and it’s reportedly going to take a lot. Pratt reports City will have to “cough up around £50 million” to bring Buchanan in.
While everything is just speculation at this point and time, it’s worth remembering Buchanan’s deal to Brugge in August 2021 featured a 10% sell-on clause for if and when Brugge sells Buchanan. Buchanan's situation is something to watch throughout the European transfer window.
