Report: Esmir Bajraktarevic Headed to PSV
The Revs will receive up to $6 million and a sell-on fee
While the New England Revolution have been busy acquiring players, the club is now sending one of its top young talents overseas.
According to Tom Bogert, winger Esmir Bajraktarevic will soon be headed to PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands. Bogert reports that the deal could be worth up to $6 million and includes a sell-on fee.
Bajraktarevic tallied four goals and four assists across all competitions in 2024. This year also saw him break into the Bosnian Men’s National Team where he has already tallied an assist.
New England had a logjam at the winger position with the likes of Luca Langoni and Tomas Chancalay likely to start come 2025. Bajraktarevic would be battling for minutes so selling him at his peak is some smart business from Curt Onalfo and the front office.
I think my wager at Mohegan Sun that the Revs would maintain less than the 70% of players promised to be retained from last year by C. Porter is looking pretty, pretty good.
