Portland Hearts of Pine Ramping Up Ahead of 2025 Debut
The debut season inches closer
Labor Day weekend is a fresh memory as the USL League One season enters the final third of the regular season with just four points separating the top five teams in the table. There’s one point dividing South Georgia Tormenta and the Chattanooga Red Wolves for the final playoff position, and the semi-finals of the USL Jäegermeister Cup are a week away. It’s that time of year when the weather starts to cool and the soccer starts to heat up.
The planning for the Hearts of Pine 2025 inaugural season is beginning to heat up as well. Next season’s home openers have historically been released in November, with the full schedule released in December.
The coaching search continues for the Hearts with understandably little information coming from the club about possible candidates or interviews being conducted at this time. USL League One teams will typically sign one or two players in December, and with brother-in expansion clubs Westchester SC and FC Naples already bagging their coach for next year. The Hearts timetable is starting to shorten.
For fans, things are beginning to heat up as well. Heartsapalooza will be where season ticket information is handed out to all season ticket deposit holders this Friday evening at 4 pm September 6 at Thompson’s Point. The all inclusive vibe will be on full display with food and beer on tap, new Hearts merchandise, kid’s soccer zones, music, Dirigo Union leading fans in Hearts of Pine chants, fun giveaways, and much more.
So while a lot of work still remains, the process to Portland’s debut season is ramping up which should leave fans excited for an action-packed winter and offseason.
