Portland Hearts of Pine Add Five Player
Hearts roster is bolstered to 17 with 5 new signings
On the third day of trading camp, the Portland Hearts of Pine announced five more signings to the roster.
Shandon Wright is a 6’2”, 24-year-old center back from Costa Rica that will bring some muscle to the center of the Hearts back line. Having last played for Municipa Grecia in Costa Rica, he played predominately on the right side of the back line.
Goalkeeper Kash Oladapo from Happy Valley, Oregon has good height at 6’ 4” and is a graduate of the University of Portland. Oladapo was recognized as the WCC Defensive Player of the Week three times.
Morse is a 26-year-old keeper signed from FC Cincinnati 2. The Belleville, Michigan native was drafted in the second round by Cincinnati FC in 2023. Hunter helped FC Cincinnati 2 win their division in 2024 and will probably be between the sticks for the Hearts in season one.
Titus Washington is 6’ 1” forward with eight goals and eight assists for Seattle University last year. Washington hails from Carlsbad, California and like many others on the Hearts, this is his first professional contract.
Coach Bobby Murphy also added another attacking midfielder to the roster in left-footed Freetown, Sierra Leone native Jay Tee Kamara. Kamara is a small and shifty 23-year-old attacking midfielder who played on the right side for Swedish tier-two club Sandvikens IF.
With the roster now at 17, the Hearts roster is close to being complete. A striker or further depth to the squad may be announced, or a trialist could make the roster early in the regular season. In large, we now have a good view of what Murphy will have on the pitch.
