In January, the New England Revolution used their buyout for the 2024 season on Tomas Vaclik, ending a less-than-five month tenure for the Czech goalkeeper in New England.
With a recent history of strong goalkeeping at Gillette Stadium, Vaclik failing to live up to the lineage makes him one of the biggest busts in club history in the opinion of the author of this article. But it led me to ask myself: Is he the most disappointing goalkeeper the Revolution have ever had? But then I thought: why stop there?
So that inspired my picks for the All-Time Bust XI for the New England Revolution. To be clear, we aren’t looking for the *worst* players in team history, but rather the players who came in with expectations and fell flat.
