Matchday 24 Player Status Report
Revs wrap up a double-game week on the road.
Matchday 24 sees the New England Revolution take a trip to the Lone Star State for a meeting with Austin FC. Let's see who’s listed on the player status report!
New England Revolution:
Ignatius Ganago - Quad (Out)
Alex Bono - Neck (Questionable)
Ilay Feingold - Ankle (Questionable)
Peyton Miller - Ankle (Questionable)
Austin FC:
Brandon Vazquez - Knee (Out)
Instant Reactions:
Things look a lot better for the Revolution health-wise. Tomás Chancalay sees himself removed after returning from a groin injury. Alex Bono also sees his status upgraded to questionable after missing the last six games with a neck injury.
Despite the good news, some concern arises on the status of wing backs Ilay Feingold and Peyton Miller. Feingold has missed the past two games with an ankle injury. Miller joins the injured list with an ankle injury after clocking a full 90 minutes in Wednesday’s 2-1 loss to Inter Miami.
The pair of wingbacks have been pivotal to the Revs attack in 2025. Feingold and Miller have combined to tally four goals and four assists. They’ve also helped the Revolution defense allow the fourth-fewest goals in the Eastern Conference.
Hopefully, the duo will be good to go on Saturday.
Forward Ignatius Ganago remains out as he works his way back from a quad injury suffered while on international duty. Saturday will mark the fourth consecutive match Ganago has missed. There have been no updates on his recovery, but expect him to be out a bit longer as the initial report from the Revs indicated he would miss at least six matches as a result.
While Austin FC only has one name on the injury report, it’s a pretty big one.
Forward Brandon Vazquez underwent season-ending knee surgery on Thursday after he sustained a torn right ACL during Tuesday’s U.S. Open Cup draw and shootout victory over the San Jose Earthquakes.
Vazquez has been the main contributor to Austin’s attack in 2025. Despite having the fewest goals scored in MLS (15), Vazquez has netted five of them.
With Vazquez done for the year, it will be interesting to see how the club adapts when they face the Revolution on Saturday.
