Revs kickoff a double game week with a spectacle inside Gillette Stadium.
As the New England Revolution prepare for a big Matchday 23 meeting with Messi and Miami, let’s see who’s listed on the player status report.
New England Revolution:

Ignatius Ganago - Quad (Out)
Tomás Chancalay - Groin (Questionable)
Ilay Feingold - Ankle (Questionable)
Inter Miami CF:

Yannick Bright - Hamstring (Out)
Drake Callender - Sports Hernia (Out)
Ian Fray - Adductor (Out)
Gonzalo Lujan - Hamstring (Out)
David Ruiz - Hamstring (Out)
Initial Reactions:
Ignatius Ganago will miss a fourth consecutive game as the forward continues recovering from a quad injury. The Cameroonian international has been out of action since suffering a strained quad while on international duty in June.
It’s unknown how his rehab process has gone, but his return wasn’t expected until the July 16th meeting with the New York Red Bulls at the earliest.
Ganago had started in the Revolution’s first 15 matches before the injury, where he tallied a goal and three assists over 1,251 minutes.
Wednesday will mark the sixth game missed by veteran goalkeeper Alex Bono. His two appearances in 2025 came during the Revs’ Open Cup run when he combined to make two saves in their 2-1 win over RIFC and 3-1 loss to the Chicago Fire.
With Bono out, expect 2025 SuperDraft pick Donovan Parisian to serve as the backup to Aljaž Ivačič.
While Tomás Chancalay and Ilay Feingold are listed as “questionable” on the player status report, Head Coach Caleb Porter seemed hesitant about the duo’s status ahead of Wednesday’s match.
Since returning from an ACL injury suffered in the middle of 2024, Chancalay has appeared in 11 games for the Revs and tallied two goals and an assist over 492 minutes.
Feingold could miss a second consecutive match after missing Saturday’s outing in Portland as the defender recovers from an ankle injury.
Since arriving in New England, Feingold has had a real impact on this Revs team. Through 18 appearances, Feingold has three goals and three assists over 1,396 minutes.
It’s unknown how long Feingold could be out for, but let’s hope it comes sooner rather than later.
While Miami’s megastars stay clear of the status report, they enter Wednesday’s match banged up with a staggering six players out.
More importantly, they’ll be without three regular defenders in Noah Allen, Ian Fray, and Gonzalo Lujan.
Allen has appeared in 27 matches across all competitions in 2025. He's tallied one goal and one assist over 2,062 minutes. The 21-year-old will miss a second game after missing Saturday’s match against Montreal.
Fray has 16 appearances across all competitions and has notched one assist over 1,107 minutes. The 22-year-old will miss his fourth match in a row, which dates back to Miami’s FIFA Club World Cup Group Stage finale.
Lujan has 20 appearances across all competitions and clocked 1,306 minutes. Lujan will miss his seventh straight match since exiting May 28th’s meeting with Montreal 12 minutes into the game.
After being a big part of Inter Miami’s early history, injury has hindered goalkeeper Drake Callender in 2025. He’s only made three appearances this year and has missed the past 14 matches due to a sports hernia injury.
Callender’s tenure with Miami has seen him make 118 appearances for the club. Callender has notched 19 clean sheets over 10,654 minutes.
Former UNH Wildcat Yannick Bright had clocked 1,025 minutes across 19 appearances before a hamstring injury sidelined him for the past seven matches.
Injury has truly hindered former Miami Academy prospect David Ruiz in 2025. He’s only made six appearances with two starts across all competitions, where he clocked 126 minutes.
The 21-year-old has missed 22 matches since exiting March 14th’s Concacaf Champions Cup Round of 16 match against Cavalier 17 minutes into the game.
While Miami still has its stars intact, a blow to their supporting cast will hopefully lead the Revolution to success Wednesday night.
Did the Revs already pick up another 6 months on Ganago’s loan? If not, didn’t his loan have some kind of obligation to buy clause linked to minutes played?
Will be surprised if the Revs keep the score close.
