Esmir Bajraktarevic Fails to Make U.S. Men's Olympic Roster
While his future with U.S. Soccer remains in doubt, the winger will not be headed to Paris
Esmir Bajraktarevic will not be heading to Paris this summer.
The New England Revolution winger was not named to the U.S. Men’s Olympic Soccer roster for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games.
Bajraktarevic’s exclusion from the roster comes amidst rumors that he will leave the U.S. Soccer setup and switch his international football-playing allegiance to Bosnia & Herzegovina.
In an exclusive interview with The Blazing Musket, Bajraktarevic revealed where he currently stands regarding his international future.
“Yeah, I mean, obviously, I'm very proud to be Bosnian,” Bajraktarevic told TBM. Playing for the national team is definitely something that I've dreamed of since I was little. I mean, I'm not ready to announce anything or to say much right now but yeah, I'm just proud to be a Bosnian it'd be great."
