Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Celtic Among Teams Eyeing Allan Oyirwoth
18-year-old Revolution midfielder Allan Oyirwoth is attracting interest overseas.
18-year-old midfielder Allan Oyirwoth is drawing interest from top European clubs, including Chelsea in the English Premier League, Atletico Madrid of La Liga, and Celtic FC of the Scottish Premiership, according to sources who spoke to The Blazing Musket.
This report comes after former New England Revolution head coach Caleb Porter told Zolak and Betrand, “He’s got some interest overseas from top clubs. He’s already on their radar.”
Oyirwoth signed a first-team contract with the Revolution ahead of the 2025 season after excelling in native Uganda.
He began the year with Revs II, compiling 1052 minutes in 12 starts. A steady presence in the middle, his 88% pass completion is tied for best on the team. He turned heads on April 26 with a one-time, left-footed finish from just outside the box.
Oyirwoth made his MLS league debut on August 9 when he came off the bench against the Chicago Fire. He nearly had a secondary assist on a late-game equalizer.
He then made back-to-back starts, playing 165 minutes against Toronto FC and the Philadelphia Union. In the Union game, he had the most tackles (3/3), logged six defensive contributions, and created one chance.
Oyirwoth, who nearly signed with Cadiz CF in Spain before joining the Revs, has been tracked by European teams since the summer. Interest has increased in recent weeks, though all talks are preliminary.
Having already made his international debut at 16 years old–where he recorded an assist against Somalia–Oyirwoth is expected to be a big piece for the Uganda National Team, who will compete in the African Cup of Nations this winter.
Sources indicate that Oyirwoth has been called up by the Cranes for World Cup Qualifiers against Botswana on October 6 and Algeria on October 14.

Good for Allan Oyirwoth. And he looks good in the Revs starting 11. Hope he can stay one more year and start.
It would be interesting if the Revs could pull off a deal that sends him to Chelsea. Maybe the Revs could bring in Raheem Sterling who is 30 and seems to be on the outs with other Premier League clubs and move him into a #10 or withdrawn forward role taking some of the pressure off of Gil who is now 32... Just a thought
