Caleb Porter Responds on 98.5 to Report of Argument with Richie Williams
“So turns out people disagree sometimes in pro sports. I don’t really think it's a big deal at all."
Earlier this week a report surfaced saying that New England Revolution head coach Caleb Porter had a disagreement with Revolution II head coach Richie Williams during a scrimmage. Porter addressed the report during his weekly interview with 98.5 The Sports Hub.
According to WPRO’s Tom Quinlan, Porter and Williams had an argument in front of players during a scrimmage. Quinlan later added that Williams wanted to switch sides at halftime during the scrimmage which later led to the argument.
The report was noted on 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Zolak & Bertrand show and during Porter’s weekly interview with the show, was asked about the reported argument.
“Yeah, it's pro sports,” Porter said. “So turns out people disagree sometimes in pro sports. I don’t really think it's a big deal at all. At the end of the day, it's pro sports and I'll leave it at that.”
You can find the full convo on 98.5 The Sports Hub.
The Blazing Musket reached out to the New England Revolution for comment and the club declined to provide any additional comment.
