The New England Revolution announced the signing of Revolution II goalkeeper JD Gunn through the 2026 season with club options for the 2027 and 2027-28 seasons.
The 26-year-old joins the first team after spending the first two seasons of his professional career with MLS NEXT Pro side New England Revolution II. Gunn’s time with Revs II saw him tally 103 saves, the third-most in club history, and three clean sheets in 27 appearances with the club.
Gunn’s work with Revolution II has led to him garnering interest with the Panama National Team. January 24, 2025, saw Gunn clock 80 minutes in a 2-1 loss to Peruvian side Universitario. January 22 nearly saw Gunn put up a shutout performance against Mexico, but an unfortunate own goal from Richard Peralta led to Mexico securing the 1-0 victory.
Gunn is no stranger to the first team. His time in New England saw him sign short-term loan agreements to feature in the matchday squad against Inter Miami CF on April 27, 2024, and CF Montreal on May 31, 2025.
Gunn joins the ranks of Matt Turner and Donovan Parisian as the club’s netminders entering the 2026 MLS season under first-year head coach Marko Mitrović.
2026 is a big year for the Panama City native as he looks to earn a spot on Panama’s roster as the nation prepares for its first World Cup campaign since 2018.
