After weeks of speculation, Griffin Yow’s arrival in New England became official as the club announced the acquisition of the 23-year-old midfielder from Belgian Pro League side KVC Westerlo.

The Cliffton, Virginia native returns to Major League Soccer after beginning his career with D.C. United before moving to Belgium in 2022. Yow’s time in Belgium saw him amass 18 goals and 10 assists in 86 appearances across all competitions.

Yow’s journey to New England sees him reunite with former youth national team coach Marko Mitrović. Yow appeared in all four matches under Mitrović during the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

On top of the reported €450,000 fee to acquire Yow from Westerlo, the Revolution had to send an additional $125,000 in General Allocation plus the club’s second round pick in the 2027 MLS SuperDraft to the Vancouver Whitecaps to acquire Yow’s Discovery Priority.
