CT United FC added another member to its roster as the club announced the signing of Laurie Goddard.
The 22-year-old forward joins Connecticut after spending the last four seasons playing at the collegiate level with Merrimack College and, most recently, Hofstra University.
The London native’s time at Merrimack saw him tally 11 goals and five assists in 23 appearances for the Warriors.
After two years at Merrimack, Goddard transferred to Hofstra and went on to end his collegiate career with 24 goals and 12 assists in 38 appearances with the Pride.
Goddard’s time at Hofstra also saw him take home United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region Second Team and All-Coastal Athletic Association Second Team.
2024 saw Goddard guide the Pride to its fourth-consecutive Coastal Athletic Association title after netting three goals in the tournament, which resulted in him being named the CAA Championship Most Outstanding Player award.
After securing the Coastal Athletic Association Championship, Goddard and Hofstra earned a bye in the 2024 NCAA College Cup tournament. Their run came to an immediate end after suffering a 2-1 loss to eventual champions Vermont.
2025 saw Goddard and Hofstra return to the tournament, where he netted four goals and an assist in three matches before suffering a shootout loss to Furman in the third round.
Goddard becomes CT United FC’s 15th addition ahead of the club’s inaugural season. He also played for the Western Mass Pioneers.
