CT United FC’s roster build continued as the club announced the signing of former Revolution II midfielder Alex Monis.
Monis, a former Chicago Fire Academy prospect, began his professional career on March 11, 2020, signing a Homegrown contract with the Chicago Fire. His time in the Windy City saw Monis tally a goal in four appearances with the first team and tally 11 goals and two assists with Fire II.
His time in Chicago also featured loan spells with USL League One side Forward Madison, where he clocked 180 minutes in seven appearances, and USL Championship side Rio Grande Valley, where he notched a goal in six appearances.
After having his option declined on November 22, 2023, Monis returned to MLS NEXT Pro on January 8, 2024, after signing with Revolution II.
Monis’ two seasons in New England saw him tally nine goals and five assists across 40 appearances for Revs II. 2025 also saw the midfielder make his Revolution first team debut, clocking eight minutes off the bench in May 20th’s 3-1 U.S. Open Cup loss to Chicago Fire.
Monis’ time with Revolution II saw him break through with the Philippines Men’s National Team, earning 16 caps with the senior national team while tallying a goal in seven appearances combined with the nation’s U22 and U23 teams.
Monis becomes the 17th addition by CT United FC ahead of its inaugural MLS NEXT Pro season in 2026.
