It just got easier for fans to get to Boston Legacy FC matches at Gillette Stadium. The club announced a free shuttle service for all upcoming home games in Foxboro, including Saturday’s match against the Utah Royals.
The shuttles will service the Mansfield MBTA station on the Providence/Stoughton Commuter Rail line and drop off fans at Lot 2 at Gillette. Return trips to the Mansfield station will run 1-2 hours after the final whistle.
Fans will need to claim the shuttle tickets separately through the Legacy’s site; the portal will close 72 hours prior to games. Passengers will need to present the tickets to a BLFC representative before boarding the shuttles and will receive a wristband that will also allow them to board the return shuttle.
Those in need of an ADA-accessible shuttle with a lift have the option to choose an “ADA Shuttle Pass” on the portal. Stroller storage will also be available on all trips.
“We are excited to offer a shuttle from Mansfield Station as we welcome fans to Gillette Stadium for our inaugural season,” said Jennifer van Dijk, BLFC’s team president. “Boston Legacy is committed to delivering an exceptional fan experience, and expanding transportation options for our supporters reflects that commitment.”
For the Utah Royals game at 12 PM Saturday, fans can get shuttle tickets here through Thursday, March 26 at 11:59 PM.
Service will be available for the following Providence/Stoughton Commuter Rail line trains:
- South Station departure at 10:15 AM (10:57 AM Mansfield arrival)
- Providence, RI departure at 9:45 AM (10:13 AM Mansfield arrival)
Return trips will leave Gillette at the following times to arrive at Mansfield 5-10 minutes before train departure:
- 1:40 PM departure (2:13 PM train to South Station)
- 2:20 PM departure (2:57 PM train to Providence)
- 3:45 PM departure (4:18 PM train to South Station)
As one of the two remaining home matches that fall on a weekend, supporters can also take advantage of the MBTA’s $10 Commuter Rail weekend pass that offers unlimited trips on Saturdays and Sundays.
